the word~!

morning!!!
its been a month since i posted anything abt the going ons :P
became extremely lazy to blog as i felt there wasn't a need to..
which was something i really needed to instead.
why didn't i blog? cuz probably everyday felt the same
it was ritualistic. unfortunately.
well actually thats stopped awhile but i got badly distracted (which to do tend to do so rather easily)
God has been working these past weeks in my life..
3 sermons in a row (3 weeks) spoke to me directly deeply which i felt as if this sermon was simply made to talk to me.

3weeks ago, pastor dinah shared abt a sister in the bondage of lust (which was rather shocking to me actually, but hey no one is perfect) and to deal with the core issues. gave some practical steps.
she talked abt idolatry and shared this:

"Among the sins to which the human heart is prone, hardly any other is more hateful to God than idolatry, for idolatry is at bottom a libel on His character. The idolatrous heart assumes that God is other than He is. The essence of idolatry is the entertainment of thoughts about God that are unworthy of Him. It begins in the mind... The idolater simply imagines things about God and acts as if they were true." - A.W Tozer

Applications:
Be grounded in the Word. Know God from the word, not your imagination.
Deal with sin @ its root and remove it totally. 100% not 99.99%.

the week after that Pastor shared abt the golden lampstand.
keeping in step with the holy spirit.
Being familier with the spirit.
and daring to grow in God.
Pastor jeff answered an old question i always had, and coincidentally i just asked my shepherd that same question about 3 days prior to it.
amazing :)

the holy spirit will never contradict the word. follow that voice.

Application:
the word.

Roy shared a powerful teaching on sun
again about God's Word.
accountability for it.
- all the lessons you've been through, you apply it? you're accountable for it.

accountability & responsibility. they're words i shudder at and naturally want to run from it.
but this IS serious matter. and its a truth many people need to hear (i myself)

We are responsible for all our actions and God is going to hold us accountable.

o how many times i dread that sentence. but yes. i know it.
change.

last week (2days agos) Pastor jeff shared about the altar of insence. about a prayerful life.
to plan time for it and not something we do when we have nothing better to do.
Pastor shared abt his own experience of praying which i'm truly grateful of knowing.
haha cuz i share the same problem with him during prayer.
that our minds wander VERY VERY easily and are easily distracted.
so he shared some of the different ways people pray.
i'll try his way :)
writing down on a notepas whatever comes to my mind or is distracting me and shoo it off and pray.
i was always fustrated with myself cuz of it. pray and get distracted and forgot where i was in prayer :God is wonderful :D

learnt alot.

during the past weeks i fasted from games for a week.. which was HARD hahaha..
but thank God for the experience.
it was a roller coaster ride during those few weeks. it wasn't a good time for me but God later changed my perspective. it was a war for my heart.
just by knowing that is enough. its a big difference once you see it as a battlefield out there. thnig don't just happen, its a war between God and the demons. and we're in the middle of it. God IS fighting for us and with us.
i was reminded of this promise which i had forgotten this morning
"If God is with us, who can be against us?"
A simple sentence but it turns the tide of war once you know how true it is.

God is moving.


on with my life.
last sat we caught flightplan
was a rather hilarous night hahahaha
had a funny conversation with mei mei about sweaty palms :p
hendra's mary jane joke was a killer of the night hahaha!!!
flightplan wasn't very good.. 1st half was nice but not the latter half :(
script became horrible after that.

had a game of dota after that hahahah!!
yao, euegene, roy, hendra & me. fun.

yesterday my elder bro and wife picked us up to go over to jacky's place
they were having a farewell for pat's family who was going over to vietnam for a good few years. i'll miss them, they're a lovely bunch of people! i'll miss sarah!! my fav niece! you've probably seen her on this blog a few times. (i've taker her photos a few times)
May you have a safe trip and a blessed time together there.
we had a wonderful time!! though the teh family wasn't there (which were the younger ones whom i could talk easily to) i had a great time. alot of people in my familty don't really behave their age which i love it :)
very open and down to earth people.
i love my family. hahahahahaha

anyways makan ALOTTT!!!!! it was GOOD!!! ahhhahahaha!!
had the family tradition of DIY poh piah! :D something which i missed ALOT!
and we had DIY kueh pie ti!! its NICEE!!! i just kept making and eating hahahaha!!
btw its a peranakan food :) very yummy if you know how to make it hahaha :P
gosh i'm growing fat.
needa start training soon :P

a good sunday it was.

going nexus later for setting up and to learn how to use our new toy :D
