interesting days

friday was a reallllllyyyyy weird day
though it bent more towards the lousy side

was walking into camp
it was windy and nice
and i really enjoyed the walk
and was just thanking God for it
wishing everyday'd be like that

then it started to drizzle
"ok" i thought to myself
haha interesting way to start the morning i smiled

and on to work
work was hectic as ever as the big mother of all committees came to return their equipments
i told my guys to be prepared to spend half the day sorting them out
that was an understatement
it went from morning till afternoon 4pm
and we were all worn out but we knew it was far from over,
paper works, equipments were all over the place, blah blah

so, since my boss gave us tix for the night's fireworks
(he gave me two by the way) he decided that we should close shop and end early
great idea! but we had to come back the next day (saturday)
i was realllllly against it but i had no choice..
i wanted to stay late and finish up as much as i could cuz i wanted to spend the night and sat morning doing a video for svc..
he wouldn't allow it o_O
so, unwillingly, i booked out at 4pm (yes it's ironic)
i walked out complaining in my mind
but soon enough as i think about it,
working on saturday.. was the best choice for us in fact.
we were already too tired to carry on in the first place..
and i thank God for showing me that

great, i've to think how i can finish the video by morning

thus went home tired and started to crack my head on how to get it done
honestly, though i got the news abt it monday
i wasn't able to do it till today
busy week, going home late from work, too tired -_-
i've not met up my production crew yet either
so i decided to do it on my own first

i decided to give my tix to eldest brother
though honestly i wanted to go
but nah, i could always take photos from other places was what i told myself
besides,
he's going through some tough times..

anyways i too finally decided to go see some fireworks
so i took a cab down and rushed in
was quite excited cuz it'd be my first time taking fireworks
and so i prepared my stan
whipped out the camera and took a test shot
"chik" went the camera,
and there was a blank screen...

i looked on the LED and to my horror
the low batt was blinking..
i was super sad man
really..
at that moment
all the lousy parts of the day just kept playin in my mind..
:(

and i couldn't help but ask God why'd this had to happen?
i was thinking back
how can i thank Him in this situation?

funny that as i looked into it,
i felt like laughing at myself
lol

God had set me up

and now left with nothing

all i could do was look to You.

as the fireworks splashed and danced in the sky
i couldn't help but smile
it was really beautiful
seeing the fireworks perform their best dances in the sky for that good few seconds as they shine brightly
it's the moment they've been waiting for
it's the moment they've been created for
and it's this moment they'll dance for joy

though it was extremely crowded
i enjoyed my journey back,
God gave me the opportunity to travel and be lost as i walked into the concrete jungles of raffles place
and it's something i've not done in a long time
a moment i could be carefree :)

though it was short lived, i really enjoyed it.

rushed home to finish up my video
i kept telling myself i must finish the video by tonight!
kept at it until i decided i needed a short break
which of cuz was my biggest mistake,
i lay on my pillow and before i knew it,
the zzz monster was victorious -_-

i opened my eyes..
AAAAAARGH!!!
it was already 5am...

the following 2hrs were a mad rush to finish it
a very nostalgic moment lol
this was how life was back in lasalle

anyways, i was finally able to hit the "render" button
"Estimated time to complete: 18hrs."

. . . . . . .

lol

rushed to work and did some packing and sorting out of stuff
i must say that it was rather fruitful
and we were actually enjoying ourselves!
that we had the whole office to ourselves
and there wasn't any pressure to finish up quickly

thank God for this team :)

anyways, to cut the long story short,
everything turned out surprisingly well
even though my video was not finished lol
(it was still rendering when i came back from camp!)
had a great time in service and fellowshipping
took the time to also inspire my volunteers
and it was just great to see them inspired

and looking back
it wasn't a lousy day after all
rather,
it was interesting :)
experiencing much in just 2 days
