to my mirror buddy (or so she selfs-declares LOL)

you know what?
i was reading up on Joseph too! LOL

was reading psa 105:17
"And He sent a man before them--
Joseph, sold as a slave"

God sent a man sold as a slave
and i was thinking wow,
how would Joseph felt if he knew it?
how did he felt?

he was 17 and dearly loved by his dad.
his life took a turn when his brothers
who were jealous of him
plotted to kill him;
took off his clothes and ditched him
God intervened and Joseph was sold as a slave
to an egyptian

so here he is, betrayed by the ones he
loved and grew up with
all alone now in egypt with no hope
to see his beloved father once more
and a very very uncertain future.

what went through his mind?
God! why's this happening to me??
don't you love me??
didn't you gave me those dreams?

aren't those questions we ask too?

but God's plan was just at the beginning
and i believed He was smiling as He walked with Joseph with each step
"now now, Joseph, trust me"
and he did.

was he bitter over his brothers?
i believe he was initially but learnt to forgive
in gen41:51

again, things took a bad turn when his boss's wife
accused him of trying to sleep with her
and he was thrown to jail.

i've always pictured Joseph as an imaginative kid
expressing his thoughts constantly and a dreamer
Joseph, the dreamer.
and he had dreams
wonderful dreams he happily shared to people
but was put off by his brothers and dismissed by his dad
people probably thought he was just too young, an idealist, a dreamer.
i've been in his shoes and it isn't a pleasent experience

don't you hate it when people dismiss your thoughts/dreams?
would you still continue even if everyone thought it impossible/ridiculous?
Joseph wasn't giving up.
and the only person who could start or stop him, was God.

again God was still walking with him as all these happened.
life in prison wasn't as bad too
especially with Him sharing your prison cell

Joseph didn't have the luxury of close friends to walk through life with him
all the time, but He has the king of kings right beside him.

He was constantly blessing everyone with his ability to read dreams
(something he was careful with, always giving the glory back to God
Gen41:16)and God opened opportunities and moved him from place to place

till he was finally in charge of all of egypt.

his dreams came to pass some 20yrs later when he was 39.

an amazing kid indeed.

he went through tough times as well as good times
and it was all God's plan!
i believe now if Joseph read that passage in heaven
he'd be laughing at himself but yet glad he persevered on

lets dream big and persevere with it!
God gave us dreams and only He can take it away
no one else!
don't let the evil one rob it from us!

btw, thanks for what you wrote there
