praise God!!
i've finally found the post i've been hunting for!
found it on my old dev art journal...

something i've been wanting to share (again)

2 Chron 32
A battle of the heart.
Judah was under attack.
The enemy laid seige on the fortified walls
Hezekiah consulted his ppl and started strategising.
They decided to block off the water supply to the outside
"Why should the kings of Assyria come and find plenty of water?" [4b]
Hezekiah worked hard repairing the broken sections of the wall and building towers on it.
He began to encourage his ppl.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles" [v7-8]
the ppl were encouraged greatly.
the enemy soon sent a messanger to discourage the ppl, to terrify them, to make them fearful and doubtful.
the enemy spoke further against the king and also wrote letters insulting the Lord
Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah cried out in prayer to the Lord.
And the Lord sent an angel, who annhilated all the fighting men and the leaders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. [v20-21]
the enemy was defeated.

Hezekiah became sick and was dying, he prayed to the Lord and was healed [v24]
but Hezekiah became proud and did not respond the what God has done for him
he soon repented for the pride in his heart.
Hezekiah continued to be prosperous
He succeded in everything he undertook because he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly.
God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.

The enemy attacked the heart.
the outer walls took damages and what do you do?
Hezekiah worked hard to repair the damages done, notice he worked hard?
when the heart is wounded, something has to be done. healing is not something that will come automatically, it happens when one makes a decision to heal it, to work on it.
not only was the damage repaired (wound healed) Hezekiah also built towers above it to fight back.
He built another wall outside that wall and reinforced the supoorting terraces.
He also made large number of weapons and shields. [v5]
He's gonna fight back.
many times when our hearts are wounded, we run away from the source of pain.
but Hezekiah never ran away. He stood his ground and fought back.
He KNEW that God was with him.
he encouraged his ppl to be strong and courageous too for God is with them.
God will fight the battle with them.
He trusted God with all he had, his life, his ppl, his city.
the enemy then tried another method of attacking
he tried to plant doubts in the ppl and Hezekiah
what better way to attack a city by causing its ppl to be fearful and terrified?
the enemy realized that they were holding on strong, they were not afraid.
so he decides to make that happen.
he sends a messanger to the king... pass the battlefield, pass the defense into the core of the heart, the foundation.
and he tries to destroy their courage, their faith.
he plants doubts and fear.
but Hezekiah withstood.
His heart was rooted.
the foundation was strong.
but enemy was relentless and attacked more, sending more letters.
Hezekiah knew he needed help and he cried out to the Lord with Isaiah the prophet.
and God sent an angel.
that angel wiped out the entire army.
the enemy was defeated.

but all was not over yet, there was one last enemy after that war.
Pride.
and Hezekiah became proud but he soon realized his mistake and repented.
God blessed and prospered him all the days of his life.

God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.
God wanted to see what was in his heart.
Pride? selfish? joy? love?
God wants a wholeheart, not leftovers.

:)
was really blessed by it again.
know that God is with you
the lion of Judah
the same one who:
killed millions in battle
destroyed nations
toppled kingdoms

fearsome indeed
our God is no lovey dovey God
our God is a mighty God
and He's with you.
why fear?

believe in Him who belives in you ;)

know that deep within the core of your heart,
you are good
and you're fighting alongside Him.

this means alot to me.
wild at heart.

breaking through.
