We doubt because we're focused on the unexplainable and have lost sight on the undeniable.

We doubt when God does something we cannot explain at all or when He allows something to happen.

We doubt when God does something I don't expect Him to do or what I deem as not in His nature to do so.

God is not a God of formula.

Jesus healed the blind by spitting on mud and rubbing it on the blind's eyes.

The blind was sent off to wash it off and when he did, he saw, for the first time.

Everyone was surprised and in fact some even doubted him saying that it was someone else that looked like him, they couldn't explain it.

The pharisees too couldn't explain it and kept questioning the then blind now seeing guy, he couldn't answer their questions at all because he himself never saw Jesus nor knew how he was healed. All he knew was that he could see, that was the undeniable fact.

john9:24-34

why do we need questions explained?

no one celebrated for the poor guy that he could see. he was chased out.

why was he chased out?

the pharisees couldn't explain the miraculous healing as they know God would not heal someone on the Sabbath, a day of rest. they insisted that they knew God far better than anyone else and as such, deemed the one who healed the blind, a sinner.

apparently they didn't know God enough to know that God was moving way ahead of them.

believing in the unexplained requires only one thing, faith

and without it, we cannot please God.

without it, we wouldn't even believe God let alone please Him.

i can't deny that God is real in my life. :)

learnt this from Northpoint ministries sermon.
