facing my giants one at a time. :)
was reading up on david & goliath again since yesterday's cg
how he specifically took 5 smooth pebbles and headed out into battle
for a boy who has fought and killed animals twice to thrice his size,
goliath was just another to him.
after all, his faith in a God who is even mightier was bigger.
"All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give all of you into our hands."
now the amazing thing was this,
the 5 stones weren't meant as backup in case the first stone didn't kill,
goliath had 4 other brothers
and david was determined from the start, each stone to fall a giant, and ran
into battle.
that was how much he trusted God.
he wasn't confident in himself, but confident in God to work out for him.
using a single stone to show that it is definately not his work but His work
because they defied God.
He was fearless in God.
and so should i.
God revealed in me an area of fear too
insignificance.
help me through that Lord.
i wanna lay bare before You.

Haaa~~~ I was pondering and thinkin as a movie view wise how that would be as a director...cos the fight scene is so short! Hahahaha~~~ but it is amazing how he just cast down the giant fear of Israel wif a little stone...like a little faith...mustard seed... love this passage! I pray in future if anyone was to do this movie, they won't ever twist the truth... like extend the fight scene or something just for the sake of....
haha! yea! its so short!! >_<
he ran and before you know it, the giant was on the floor, slained.
God's battle.
