just yesterday as i was thinking on how to do the awareness thing,
i was thinking of various methods to spark off, one idea i had
which i thought was rather good, was this:

i'd put in my blog

so? its not me or my family

or

won't happen here one la.. relax.

i'd want people to flame me asking how can i be like that
when others are mourning and stuff.
i'd ask back, what are YOU doing about it rather than scolding me?
if you did something then good for you
but if you haven't,
then, i've succeeded.

but as u can see from my previous post, i opted for a mild (but i hope a more visually impactful one) approach.

i've been recieving emails about how this artist Guillermo Vargas Habacuc
used a dog for his installation,
what he did was took a stray (and starving) dog from the streets, tie it up in the art gallery and leave it there for a few days, eventually starving it to death.
people could watch it in the gallery.

i didn't really bother about the email until now so i went to look it up;

i do not really know his intent but from what i read from another site (which hates him) the artist claims that he did it probably the same way i wanted to do mine. in his city, there're many stray dogs who starves to death every year, so he wanted to raise awareness by putting it like that, yes people saw it as cruelty and if he got the public to respond, then i believe he's succeeded in his artwork.
questions i'd ask people who complain about him, what do YOU do about the stray dogs in your city?
leave them be? they'd starve to death as well.

before complaining about people's action, think about it first.
i'm not promoting it and i'm not saying the people who complain are wrong either
just sharing that we had the same idea (if it was really his intention which i'm still not sure of) of raising awareness which people may at first look, frown upon.
